(01) Inclusion
Accessibility
Neon Media is committed to making our websites and apps accessible to all users. This statement describes our approach and current status.
Our Commitment
Neon Media, LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to our websites and native Apple platform applications.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for our web properties, and to follow Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and platform accessibility APIs for our iOS and macOS apps.
Conformance Status
Our web properties are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.
Native iOS and macOS applications rely on platform-level accessibility APIs (UIAccessibility, AppKit Accessibility) and are designed to work with assistive technologies built into Apple operating systems.
Websites Covered
This statement applies to the following Neon Media web properties:
Neon Media company website
CineLog Pro product site
DriveIndex product site
SnoozeDock product site
Clone Cops movie site
Apps Covered
This statement also applies to the following Neon Media apps:
Web Accessibility Features
Our websites currently include the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML — Proper heading hierarchy (H1→H2→H3), landmark regions, and meaningful link text.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard. Focus states are visible.
- ARIA labels — Buttons and controls without visible text labels include descriptive
aria-labelattributes. - Color contrast — Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Descriptive image alt text — All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.
- Responsive design — All pages are usable at browser text sizes up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Reduced motion — Scroll-triggered animations, smooth scrolling, and WebGL effects are disabled or resolved to static states when
prefers-reduced-motionis enabled. - Skip navigation — A keyboard-accessible skip-to-main-content link is available on all pages.
iOS & macOS App Accessibility
Our native Apple platform apps support the following system accessibility features:
- VoiceOver — All interactive controls, content labels, and navigation elements include accessibility identifiers and traits for full VoiceOver screen reader support.
- Dynamic Type — Text throughout our apps scales with the user's preferred reading size, including accessibility text sizes.
- Reduce Motion — Apps respond to the Reduce Motion system setting by minimizing or removing non-essential animations.
- Increase Contrast — Where supported, apps adjust UI element rendering when Increase Contrast is enabled in system settings.
- Bold Text — Apps support the Bold Text system setting, increasing font weight across UI text.
- Keyboard & Switch Control — Interactive elements are accessible via full keyboard navigation on iPad and Bluetooth keyboards, and via Switch Control.
- Appearance modes — All apps support System, Light, and Dark appearance, respecting the user's system preference by default.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, some limitations exist. We are aware of the following issues and are actively working to address them:
-
Apps — Widgets (WidgetKit)
iOS and macOS widgets operate within WidgetKit constraints. Some widget content may have limited VoiceOver interaction. The main app experience is fully accessible.
-
Apps — Beta software (eve)
eve is currently in public beta. Accessibility support is being actively developed and refined. Known accessibility gaps in beta software may not yet be addressed.
Technical Approach
Web technologies
Our websites are built with Astro (static site generator) and Tailwind CSS. We rely on semantic HTML5, ARIA where needed, and WAI-ARIA design patterns for interactive components.
iOS/macOS technologies
Native apps are built with SwiftUI and Swift. We use AccessibilityLabel, accessibilityHint, accessibilityTraits, and SwiftUI's built-in accessibility modifiers throughout our codebases.
Testing
We test accessibility using VoiceOver on iOS/macOS, keyboard-only navigation, browser-based screen readers, and automated contrast checking tools. We test at multiple Dynamic Type sizes including the largest accessibility sizes.
Standards & Guidelines
We reference and aim to follow these accessibility standards:
